Dress Code

Students are expected to be in complete uniform each day. If an emergency arises and a student must report without his/her regular uniform, parents are asked to write a note of explanation to the teacher. The note is forwarded to the office so that the child may be excused officially.

Girls – Kindergarten-Grade 4

  • Girls in Grades K-4 may wear khaki or navy dress slacks with a belt (no leggings) from November 1 to April 1. An OLP sleeveless vest should be worn over the blouse or turtleneck.

  • Red plaid drop waist jumper, no shorter than three (3) inches above the knee

  • White Oxford style blouse – short or long sleeve or white turtleneck

  • Sweater – Navy or burgundy with OLP insignia

  • Crew neck pullover or cardigan with OLP insignia

  • OLP pullover (no hood) – optional

  • Socks – knee highs – white, navy or burgundy

  • Appropriate shoes for school – for safety reasons girls are required to wear flat shoes that

    fully encase the foot and either tie or buckle (ex. Saddles, Bucks, Mary Janes, or Sperry-type boat shoes.) Sneakers or sneaker-type shoes are not permitted.

Girls – Grades 4-8

  • Girls in Grades 4-8 may wear khaki slacks with a belt (no leggings) from November 1 to April 1.

  • Red plaid wrap-around skirt no shorter than three (3) inches above the knee

  • White oxford style blouse or white turtleneck tucked into skirt

  • Sweater – Navy or burgundy with OLP insignia

  • Sweater or sweater vest with OLP insignia must be worn with skirt

  • OLP pullover (no hood)—gr.4-6 only

  • Socks – knee highs – white navy or burgundy

  • Appropriate shoes for school– for safety reasons girls are required to wear flat shoes that fully

    encase the foot and either tie or buckle (ex. Saddles, Bucks, Mary Janes, or Sperry-type boat

    shoes.) Sneakers or sneaker-type shoes are not permitted.

  • Earrings – earrings should be small. Dangling earrings, hoop earrings, multiple earrings, etc.,

    are not allowed

  • Bracelets – multiple bracelets (plain or colored) are not appropriate for school and are not

    allowed.

  • Makeup is not to be worn

  • Hair should be neat and styled appropriately – i.e., no fad styles, streaks, etc.

  • No tattoos

Boys – Kindergarten-Grade 6

  • White dress shirt – short or long sleeves. Shirt must be tucked into pants.

  • Navy blue or khaki dress pants with a belt (cargo pants are not acceptable)

  • Striped red/white/navy tie

  • Sweater – navy or burgundy or sweaters vest with OLP insignia

  • OLP pullover (no hood) optional

  • Appropriate shoes for school – for safety reasons students are required to wear flat

    shoes that fully encase the foot and either tie or buckle (ex. Saddles, Bucks, or Sperry-type

    boat shoes.) Sneakers or sneaker-type shoes are not permitted.

  • Socks – over the ankle socks

  • Tattoos, earrings, facial hair are not allowed

  • Hair – appropriately styled and neatly trimmed – never overly long or bushy covering the

    entire head. Hair should not fall below the collar, earlobes or eyebrows. No fad styles are permitted (i.e., bleaching, spiked hair, streaks, etc.,)

Boys – Grades 7-8

  • Khaki pants with belt (cargo pants are not acceptable)

  • No stitching on pockets or on the outside of the pants. Pants should be worn on the waist, not

    down on the hips.

  • White dress shirt – long or short sleeves. Shirt must be tucked into pants.

  • Tie – appropriate for school – bow ties are not acceptable

  • Navy blue blazer

  • Appropriate shoes for school – for safety reasons students are required to wear flat shoes that fully encase the foot and either tie or buckle (ex. Saddles, Bucks, or Sperry-type boat shoes.) Sneakers or sneaker-type shoes are not permitted.

  • Socks – over the ankle socks

Summer Uniforms

Summer uniforms are optional from the first day of school through September 30, and from April 1 through the end of the school year

  1. Girls and Boys – Grades K-4
    White golf shirt with navy OLP insignia
    Khaki uniform shorts with belt, appropriate school shoes (see above) with over the ankle socks

  2. Girls and Boys – Grades 5-8
    Navy golf shirt with white or red OLP insignia
    Khaki uniform shorts with belt, appropriate school shoes (see above) and over the ankle socks​

Disregard for the required Dress Code will result in one detention slip being issued to the student.
